Kwickly Answers vs. Vagaro: Booking and Calendar Software for Salons and Spas
Kwickly Answers prices a booking page, calendar and customer list by bookings a month, while Vagaro charges for each bookable calendar and bundles a marketplace listing, card payments and an AI marketing assistant. The Online booking plan costs $14.99 a month for 100 bookings, whoever is on your team, and each customer gets a reminder email the day before. If calls are where bookings slip away, a Kwickly Answers phone plan answers them and, when you choose direct booking, books into the same calendar. The figures below are the prices Vagaro prints, read 1 Oct 2026.
What Vagaro does, and what Kwickly Answers adds
Vagaro is booking, marketplace and payments software for beauty, wellness and fitness businesses. Its pricing page shows $23.99 a month with the Just Me setting selected, labeled an exclusive rate for the first 6 months, beside a struck-through $30.00. For every plan it lists a calendar with resource management, waitlists, memberships and gift certificates, loyalty programs, inventory tracking, invoices, appointment reminders and notifications, 1,000 free emails a month, a free listing on the Vagaro Marketplace, and online booking on Vagaro, Instagram, Facebook and Apple Maps. Card payments run through Vagaro Merchant Services, with rates as low as 2.2 percent, and Vagaro sells card readers, receipt printers and cash drawers.
Vagaro's AI assistant is called Vera. Its pages describe Vera as a tool for marketing, filling empty appointment slots, writing service descriptions and talking to clients, and its Fill My Books feature promotes your open slots by email and push notification and as a daily deal on the Vagaro Marketplace.
The Kwickly Answers Online booking plan keeps to the booking job. A customer is shown just the times you are free, based on your hours and the length of the service chosen, then gets a confirmation email and, the day before, a reminder. Your customer list fills as people book, and on a phone plan, from $129.99 a month for 350 minutes, an AI assistant answers your forwarded calls and, when you choose direct booking, books them onto that calendar.
How do the plans compare?

Is Kwickly Answers a Vagaro alternative?
Yes, Kwickly Answers is a Vagaro alternative for a salon, barber shop or spa that wants a booking page, calendar and customer list without a per-calendar charge. Vagaro bundles a marketplace listing, payments and an AI marketing assistant into its plans. Kwickly Answers begins at $14.99 a month by bookings, and its phone plans add an assistant for your calls.
How does Vagaro's per-calendar price compare with Kwickly Answers' price by bookings?
Vagaro's bill follows the number of bookable calendars and Kwickly Answers' follows bookings, so the gap depends on how many people take appointments and how many appointments they take. These are monthly figures read from the Vagaro pricing page on 1 Oct 2026, in US dollars, and leave out tax and card-processing fees.
One calendar: $23.99 on Vagaro with Just Me selected, which the page labeled an exclusive rate for the first 6 months, against $14.99 for 100 bookings on the Online booking plan. Vagaro's FAQ says each bookable calendar license added costs $10 (US), and the pages we read (1 Oct 2026) print no total for two to seven calendars, so check the figure for your team size. The Online booking plan is $24.99 for 300 bookings and $44.99 for 1,000, whatever the team size.
The Vagaro page also prints $30.00 struck through beside its $23.99, so check the figure on its pricing page for the month you sign up. Kwickly Answers' sizes do not change with team size, and each booking past your size is 10 cents.
Does Kwickly Answers work if I just need online booking?
Yes, Kwickly Answers works if you just need online booking: nothing else is bundled in, so there is no phone assistant or web page to pay for. The three sizes are $14.99, $24.99 and $44.99 a month for 100, 300 and 1,000 bookings, a booking past your size costs 10 cents, and there is no setup fee.
Can Kwickly Answers replace Vagaro?
Yes, for booking, the calendar, a customer list, reminder emails and, on a phone plan, answering calls. Vagaro also lists a free marketplace listing, card payments, inventory tracking, invoices and loyalty programs, while the Kwickly Answers plans compared here are built around the booking and phone jobs.
Vagaro or Kwickly Answers for a salon, barber shop or spa that takes bookings by phone?
Kwickly Answers, if the phone is where bookings slip away: from $129.99 a month, a phone plan picks up the calls you forward and, when you choose direct booking, places them in the calendar that comes with the plan. The Vagaro pages we read (1 Oct 2026) do not say that Vera or any other Vagaro feature answers phone calls, and describe Vera for marketing and filling empty slots.
Which Vagaro features are built, planned or not part of Kwickly Answers today?
- Built, not switched on yet: gift cards, loyalty points and simple invoices, which Vagaro's pricing page lists for every plan as gift certificates, loyalty programs and invoices; and point-of-sale checkout on a card reader, where Vagaro sells card readers.
- Not part of Kwickly Answers today: memberships sold to your clients and a free listing on a consumer marketplace, which Vagaro's pricing page lists for every plan.
- What Kwickly Answers does today: a phone plan from $129.99 a month for 350 minutes answers the calls you forward, and the Online booking plan from $14.99 a month keeps a waiting list for full days.
