AI receptionist for salons and barbershops
A new client wants balayage with Maria on Saturday and asks whether two hours is enough. You’re mid-foils with someone in the chair. The AI receptionist for hair salons, barbershops, nail salons and day spas answers, books the right service with the right stylist for the right amount of time, and reminds the client by email the day before.
Call it now, say you run a salon, then pretend to be a new client who wants a color with a particular stylist and hear how it answers.
What it handles on a salon call
New clients
What they're after in their own words ("a trim", "roots done", "the same as last time"), whether they've been in before, and who they'd like to see.
The right stylist
Each stylist or barber can have their own hours, their own services, and their own price and length for each one. A color that takes one stylist four hours holds four hours.
Cut or color?
A cut and a color are different lengths and prices, so when a word could mean either, it asks which one the caller means.
Prices by stylist
Asked "how much is a cut?", it gives your range and asks who they'd like. Name a stylist and it gives that stylist's own price.
Changes and cancellations
If you let it, existing clients can check, move or cancel. It says your cancellation policy once, plainly, and never charges or waives anything.
Patch tests before color
Give a service a question to ask before it's booked, like "Have you had a patch test with us in the last 6 months?", and the service to book instead on a no. On the phone, the assistant asks it and won't book the color without a yes. A no books the patch test instead. If your records already show a recent test for the number calling, that counts, and the color can't start until the wait you set after the test has passed.
If a client's record shows a reaction, the phone won't book that service, and the caller is never told why.
Prices only from your menu
It says your menu's prices and each stylist's own, exactly as you set them, and never works one out on the spot. If there's something it can't answer, it takes a message rather than guessing.
Booking, reminders and your waiting list
Every plan includes a booking page where clients pick the service and who they'd like to see, and it books into the same calendar the assistant uses. Clients who give an email get a confirmation, and a reminder the day before.
When someone cancels, the people on your waiting list who fit the freed time, and the stylist they asked for, are emailed a link to take it. The first to confirm gets it.

Hear it yourself
Call (949) 704-8377, say you run a salon, and ask for a color appointment with a stylist by name. Listen for how it handles the length of the appointment and a stylist who’s already booked.
Sample call on the demo line
An example written out to show how a call like this goes. Not a real caller.
Assistant: This call is recorded for quality assurance, and you’re speaking with an AI assistant. Thanks for calling [your business]. How can I help?
Caller: Hi, I’d like balayage with Maria this Saturday. I’ve never been in before.
Assistant: Welcome. Balayage with Maria takes about three hours. She’s free Saturday at 10:00 AM. Would that work?
Caller: 10 is perfect.
Assistant: Since you’re new, have you had a patch test with us in the last six months?
Caller: No, I haven’t.
Assistant: Then I’ll note that you need one before the color, and the salon will be in touch about it. Can I take your name and an email for the confirmation?
What it costs
Phone plans start at $129.99 a month for 350 minutes, about 175 two-minute calls. Not ready to hand over the phone? A web page with online booking is also sold on its own, without the phone assistant. Minutes are counted by the second, and your plan never upgrades itself. Every plan, add-on and price is on the Kwickly Answers pricing page.
Salon and barbershop questions
Can it book with a specific stylist or barber?
Yes. A caller who names someone is booked with that person or not at all, in that person's own hours and for their own length of service.
Will it know a color takes longer than a cut?
Yes. Each service has its own length, and each stylist can have their own. It books the time the service really takes.
Does it send reminders?
Yes, by email the day before, to clients who gave an email. Reminders by text are coming soon, waiting on carrier approval.
Can it answer in Spanish?
Yes, with the Extra languages add-on. It answers callers in their own language, with a native-sounding voice for up to three languages you pick.
What if a client wants the owner?
It takes a message for that person, by name, rather than promising a call back at a set time.
