Kwickly Answers vs. ZoomShift: Staff Scheduling and Booking for Local Businesses
Kwickly Answers combines customer booking, phone answering and staff scheduling in one account, while ZoomShift is a scheduling and time clock app priced per active team member. ZoomShift lists a $0 Essentials plan for up to 20 users; in Kwickly Answers, building, printing and publishing your schedule is free on every plan, and the Team add-on adds a private link for each person at a flat $19.99 a month for up to 15 people. The pages we read (1 Oct 2026) show no customer booking or phone answering at ZoomShift, which is where Kwickly Answers joins the customer side to the crew side.
What ZoomShift does, and what Kwickly Answers adds
ZoomShift's pricing page (read 1 Oct 2026) lists three plans per active team member a month. Essentials is $0 for up to 20 users, with an employee schedule, team communication, automatic reminders and shift confirmation for one location. Starter's list names availability and time offs, shift cover requests and swaps, a time clock with timesheets and a payroll report, and Premium adds auto-scheduling, overtime warnings and a geofence time clock. It is a dedicated scheduling and time clock app for hourly teams.
Kwickly Answers keeps a staff list that records who does which services, and building, printing and publishing the schedule is free on every plan. Shifts belong to roles, each with its own base rate, and you drag them into place on the Day view. Each day's head shows its hours and, with Team and pay rates, its estimated labor cost and labor % of that day's sales against the target you set. Each person can also add their shifts to their own phone calendar. The Team add-on then gives each person a private link where they see their own shifts, ask for time off for you to approve or decline, say when they can work, pick up swaps and open shifts, and clock in and out with hours this week shown.
Customers book in that same account, on a booking page and calendar. On a phone plan the assistant answers calls and, if you chose direct booking, books onto the calendar; otherwise it takes a message. That puts the crew, the bookings and the calls under one Kwickly Answers login.
How do the plans compare?
ZoomShift's Starter plan is $2.50 per active team member a month on its Monthly view, and Kwickly Answers' Team add-on is $19.99 a month for up to 15 people, added to any plan.

Is Kwickly Answers a ZoomShift alternative?
Yes, Kwickly Answers is a ZoomShift alternative for a local service business with an hourly crew that also takes customer bookings and calls. ZoomShift's own pages describe a scheduling and time clock app priced per active team member, with plans from $0. Kwickly Answers lets you build and publish the crew schedule at no charge on any plan, adds each person's own link through its Team add-on, and keeps booking and phone answering in the same account.
What does a 12-person crew cost on ZoomShift and on Kwickly Answers?
ZoomShift charges per active team member, so a 12-person crew is a headcount sum. On the Monthly view we read on 1 Oct 2026, Starter is 12 × $2.50 = $30.00 a month and Premium 12 × $5 = $60.00; the Annually view shows $2 for Starter, 12 × $2 = $24.00, and Essentials is $0 for up to 20 users. Team is $19.99 for up to 15 people and $39.99 from 16, leaving out the plan it is added to, and the feature lists differ, so read this as a pricing-basis comparison, not a feature match.
Can Kwickly Answers run my crew schedule and my customer bookings from one account?
Yes, on the Website and booking plan or any phone plan one account holds both: the crew schedule is yours to build and publish free of charge, Team adds each person's own link, and customers use the booking page and calendar that come with the plan. On a phone plan you decide whether the assistant books directly or takes a message, and urgent calls you define reach you by email.
Does ZoomShift take customer bookings or answer the phone?
The pages we read (1 Oct 2026) show no customer booking or phone answering at ZoomShift; they describe scheduling, time clocking, time off, shift swaps and team communication for hourly staff. Kwickly Answers handles the customer jobs beside the crew schedule, from $14.99 a month for booking or $129.99 a month with a phone assistant.
Which ZoomShift features are built, planned or not part of Kwickly Answers today?
- Built, not switched on yet: payroll files marked as estimates, for uploading to Gusto and for a bookkeeper using QuickBooks Payroll, which ZoomShift's Starter plan lists as a payroll report.
- Not part of Kwickly Answers today: team communication and a geofence time clock, which ZoomShift's Essentials and Premium plans list.
- What Kwickly Answers does today: you build, print and publish the crew schedule at no charge on any plan, drafting a week from Copy and templates, filling gaps with Fill open shifts for me, and the Team add-on, $19.99 a month up to 15 people, adds each day's estimated labor % of sales and each person's own link for time off, swaps, open shifts and clock-ins.
