Kwickly Answers vs. Cal.com: Online Booking for Local Businesses
Kwickly Answers prices online booking by bookings a month, from $14.99, while Cal.com charges per user: a Free plan for one person and Teams at $12 a user a month on its yearly setting ($16 on its monthly setting). A single Online booking price takes in the booking page, the calendar, your customer list and a reminder email sent the day before, no matter how many people accept bookings. Cal.com's pages also describe Cal.ai, an AI agent that places phone calls to book meetings, remind attendees and follow up, at $0.29 a minute; a Kwickly Answers phone plan instead answers the calls you forward and, when you choose direct booking, books callers into the same calendar.
What Cal.com does, and what Kwickly Answers adds
Cal.com's pricing page (read 2 Oct 2026) lists an Individuals plan that is Free for 1 user, with event types and calendar connections shown without a cap, email and SMS notifications, and payments through Stripe or PayPal. Teams adds shared availability, round-robin scheduling, recurring events, routing forms and booking analytics at $12 per user a month on the yearly setting of its toggle, or $16 on the monthly setting. Organizations and Enterprise sit above that.
Customers of a Kwickly Answers business open the booking page and see just the free times, calculated from your opening hours and the length of each service. After a booking an email confirms it, the day before an email reminds the customer, and the customer joins your list of customers. Mark a service as an emergency and no slot is offered at all: the page tells the customer to call you now. Every person and every service can be given a link and a QR code.
On the Online booking plan, headcount does not set the bill. It costs $14.99 a month for 100 bookings, $24.99 for 300 or $44.99 for 1,000, and a new colleague added under Calendar, then Who is working, then + Add staff member leaves that figure alone. If calls start to matter as much as clicks, get in touch and we set the phone assistant up with you, with one calendar behind both.
How do the plans compare?

Is Kwickly Answers a Cal.com alternative?
Yes, Kwickly Answers is a Cal.com alternative if you run a local service business and customers book appointments with you. Cal.com bills per user once a team is involved, with a Free plan for one person; the Online booking plan bills by bookings, from $14.99 a month, so a booking page, calendar, customer list and a day-before reminder email cover the whole crew at one price.
Does Kwickly Answers work if I just need online booking?
Yes, a business can use Kwickly Answers for booking alone and leave out the phone assistant, web page and chat. The three sizes are $14.99 for up to 100 bookings a month, $24.99 for 300 and $44.99 for 1,000, each extra booking is 10 cents, and nothing is charged to set up.
How does Cal.com's price per user compare with Kwickly Answers' price by bookings?
Cal.com's Teams plan is priced per user and Kwickly Answers' Online booking plan by bookings, so the gap depends on how many people take bookings. The figures are monthly, read from cal.com/pricing on 2 Oct 2026, and leave out add-ons and tax.
For 3 users, Teams is 3 × $12 = $36.00 on the yearly setting or 3 × $16 = $48.00 on the monthly setting; for 6 users it is 6 × $12 = $72.00 or 6 × $16 = $96.00. Cal.com's Free plan is $0 for 1 user. On the Online booking plan, $14.99 covers 100 bookings a month whatever the crew size, and $24.99 covers 300.
How does Cal.ai's price per minute compare with a Kwickly Answers phone plan?
Cal.ai charges $0.29 a minute and a Kwickly Answers phone plan sells minutes in blocks, and the two do different jobs: the Cal.ai page describes calls placed to attendees and leads for reminders, confirmations and follow-ups, started by workflows, while a phone plan answers the calls you forward.
At about 100 minutes a month, Cal.ai is 100 × $0.29 = $29.00; at about 350 minutes it is 350 × $0.29 = $101.50. These two sums leave out the Cal.com plan itself and tax. Teams include 750 credits per member a month, just under 26 minutes at 29 credits a minute, and Individuals buy credits separately. Starter (Essential level) is $129.99 for 350 minutes, extra minutes are $0.50 each counted by the second, and every phone plan also carries the calendar, online booking, email confirmations and reminders, and customer list.
Which Cal.com features are built, planned or not part of Kwickly Answers today?
- Built, not switched on yet: SMS reminders outside the $39.99 Website & booking plan to the people who book, where Cal.com's Free plan lists SMS notifications; and a card saved at booking that holds a deposit or a no-show fee, where Cal.com lists Stripe and PayPal payments before a booking completes.
- Not part of Kwickly Answers today: AI phone calls placed out to your customers for reminders, confirmations and follow-ups, which Cal.com's Cal.ai page lists at $0.29 a minute.
- What Kwickly Answers does today: it answers the calls your customers make to you, on a phone plan from $129.99 a month, and the Online booking plan from $14.99 a month gives each service its own link and QR code and sends the reminder by email the day before. Website & booking ($39.99 a month) includes 250 reminder texts a month, from the shared Kwickly Answers number, to customers who said yes.

Unhappy with Cal.com? What switching to Kwickly Answers looks like
Switching from Cal.com to Kwickly Answers means putting your opening hours and services into your portal, adding each person under Calendar, then Who is working, then + Add staff member, linking Google Calendar so busy times are respected (never the details), and sharing the booking link and QR code of each person and each service.
Cal.com's pricing page (cal.com/pricing, read 2 Oct 2026) charges per user once you move past the Free plan for 1 user: Teams is $12 per user a month on its yearly setting and $16 on the monthly setting. Source: cal.com/pricing, read October 2, 2026
Customers go in one at a time in your portal, and the list also fills as bookings arrive. The Online booking plan is $14.99, $24.99 or $44.99 a month for 100, 300 or 1,000 bookings with no setup fee, so on Kwickly Answers a bigger crew does not move the Online booking plan price.
Why choose Kwickly Answers instead of Cal.com?
- On the Online booking plan the invoice ignores headcount: $14.99, $24.99 or $44.99 a month for 100, 300 or 1,000 bookings, and a booking beyond your size is 10 cents and is never turned away.
- A booking page shaped like a service business: the times shown are those that suit your hours and each service's length, and an emergency service sends the customer to a call, not a time slot.
- A link and QR code for each person and each service, plus emails for confirmation and a day-before reminder, with the customer list kept alongside the calendar.
- A phone assistant on that same calendar when you want one: get in touch and we set it up with you. Phone plans begin at $129.99 a month and include the booking page and calendar.
